Golf
The Gstaad – Saanenland Golf Course (at 1400 m above sea level) was built in 1960/61 and is considered one of the most beautiful 18-hole courses in the Alps. Set in the delightful mountain landscape of the Bernese Oberland, adjoining a nature reserve and fens of national importance, it is far removed from all the noise and the traffic.
Hiking
With more than 300 km of signposted and well maintained trails and paths the Gstaad holiday region is a genuine hiking paradise in Switzerland. The dense and far-reaching network of hiking trails is ideally accessible thanks to the many cable cars and different modes of public transport, with something to suit every taste.
Biking
Eleven specialised bikehotels, 150 kilometres of signposted bike routes, 500 kilometres of GPS tours and an electric bike system for bons vivants provide access to the most beautiful parts of the holiday region of Gstaad in Switzerland: from leisurely to sporty and from short excursions to extreme tours.
Climbing
The Gstaad holiday region has lots of climbing tours in top regions, from Zweisimmen to the Pays d’Enhaut, for anyone from elite athletes to families.
Swimming

Tennis
Gstaad and tennis are an unbeatable pairing. Each year in July, the ATP Tour's elite competes at the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad for valuable world ranking points. Elsewhere in the Gstaad holiday region there are plenty of tennis courts for tennis fans to enjoy a set or two.
Beach Volleyball
Year in and year out, the Beach Volleyball SWATCH FIVB World Tour – 1to1 energy Grand Slam is a highlight on Gstaad's event agenda. Top players from all over the world compete for the title in the centre of Gstaad against a fabulous mountain and chalet backdrop. Various courts are available to sports enthusiasts and fans of beach volleyball in Gstaad and surrounding areas.
Rafting
Conditions for rafting and canyoning on the Saane and Simme rivers are nothing if not exhilirating, especially during the snowmelt. But even at the height of the summer a rafting adventure on the cool waters is heaps of fun for the young and the young-at-heart.

Fishing
The Gstaad holiday region has several lakes and bodies of flowing water in which fishing is permitted. The main attractions are the "Forellensee" in Zweisimmen and the trout lake Arnensee (Lac d'Arnon), which is popular with families, in Feutersoey.

Licence required
A licence is required to fish in public waters. Annual, monthly, weekly and daily licences are available from the tourist information centres in Gstaad, Zweisimmen, Saanen, Schönried and Sannenmöser.
Paragliding
The Gstaad holiday region has lots of different flying routes. The launch sites have good thermals and are easy to reach by cable car. Guests can enjoy the experience of tandem flights with experienced pilots.

Sightseeing flights
Whether you are propelled into the sky by means of wind uplift or motor power, you have a number of very different options and flight routes to choose from over the Alps of the Bernese Oberland. The offering of the diverse companies (flying groups) enable to fly over the Jungfrau, the Eiger and Mönch or in the direction of the Valais Alps near the Matterhorn over the Aletsch Glacier... The aspiring pilots can also become real professionals by getting their RPPL (Restricted Private Pilot Licence).
Nordic Walking
The Gast holiday region is ideal for Nordic Walking. It offers a wide range of hiking trails for beginners and proficient walkers keen to take up this sport that's so healthy for the body yet easy on the joints, and do so either on their own or in a group, with or without professional coaching.
